Installation Instructions

  • Please review our swivel installation tutorial videos for more details.
  • The newest version of our swivel ships with no rear locking positions punched out by default to allow for free swiveling when in the reversed position. If you want to use the additional locking positions the metal tabs can be easily removed. Simply use a flat head screwdriver. Insert the head into the gap and tilt the screwdriver, this can also be done with a pry tool as needed. The cube should come out easily.

Easy to install, I wish it had more locking positions. Over all I would buy again. It is a good value for the money.

Fairly easy installation but on the aftermarket Explorer Van Captain seats 2 holes need to be drilled in each swivel bases to allow the rails to mate up flat. I’m not sure if this is necessary on stock GMC/Chevy seats?? Not a hard modification but best to take seat out of vehicle, bolt swivel to bottom of seat to create imprint on swivel marking where to drill holes. And be careful not to get drill chips on/in swivel Teflon surface. I also had to use washers (provided in the kit) between the seat and swivel base to prevent the stock seat bolts from rubbing on the swivel Teflon rotating surface!! Note that the seat will still swivel without the washers but it is not smooth and the bolts are grinding into the Teflon surface- not a good thing. Installation instructions would have been nice to know where 8 washers are designed to go, but seeing how seats and washers were used from factory it’s not too hard to figure out where they are actually needed.
